Safety & Trust

How Panosia Connect verifies members, moderates the community, and keeps interactions safe

Last updated: October 7, 2026

A Trust-First Community, Not a Dating App

Panosia Connect is built for individuals and families seeking a lifelong marriage partner, and for the services that weddings and family life need. Members must be at least 18 years of age. Escort services, sex work, compensated companionship, casual or transactional sexual relationships, and adult or sexual content are strictly prohibited — see our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines for the full list of prohibited activities and enforcement consequences, which include immediate account suspension or termination.

Identity Verification

ID verification is required for some features, such as in-app chat and service bookings, and may be required to finish creating your account. Background checks are optional. Each check is a one-time charge where a fee applies, with no subscriptions. Pricing for each level is on our Pricing page.

  • Self-Service ID Verification: You upload a government-issued ID and take a liveness selfie, processed by our third-party identity verification vendor for document authenticity and face match. The vendor's automated result is reviewed by our team before your verification status changes — an automated pass or fail is never the final decision. A video-call option with a verifier remains available as a fallback.
  • Digital Background Check: A video-call interview with a verifier and a review of supporting documents covering personal information, education, and work history, producing a shareable report.
  • In-Person Verification: Available on request in some areas.

All verification requests — whether resolved automatically or manually — pass through an admin/verifier review queue before a trust badge is granted, rejected, or escalated. See the verification disclaimer in our Terms of Service for the limitations of these checks.

Verified-Gated Messaging

Direct messaging is a permission gated on your verification status — every messaging surface below requires an approved ID verification from everyone involved.

  • In-app chat: Two verified members can hold a persisted, real-time conversation. Messages are stored so the conversation is available across sessions, and a participant can delete a message they sent for everyone, clear a whole conversation for both people, or remove a conversation from their own inbox. Messages are automatically deleted after a default retention period — see our Privacy Policy for details, including how an open safety report can hold a conversation past that period (see Reporting & Moderation below).
  • One-time message relay: A verified member can also send a single message that's delivered to the recipient by email, without starting an ongoing chat thread.

Until you're verified, you can still build connections through access requests, profile sharing, and the community/family network, all subject to each member's privacy settings.

Reporting & Moderation

  • Report: Members can report inappropriate behavior, suspicious profiles, or safety concerns at any time.
  • Block: You can block any member from their profile or from a chat. While a block is in place, neither of you can send new messages or full-profile requests, or make new bookings with each other, and you won't see each other in Discover. An existing conversation stays visible, but neither of you can reply. Any private profile access between you is removed, and unblocking doesn't restore it. Blocking doesn't cancel a booking you already have. The member isn't told, though they may notice they can no longer contact you. Blocking doesn't send us a report, so please report anyone who breaks our Community Guidelines too.
  • Evidence hold: If you have an in-app chat conversation with someone involved in an open report — whether you filed it or it was filed against you — neither of you can delete messages or the conversation until the report is resolved. This preserves the conversation as potential Trust & Safety evidence and is not a judgment on the report's outcome.
  • Confidential review: Reports are reviewed confidentially by our community management team, with thorough, impartial investigation.
  • Enforcement: Violations of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service can result in warnings, feature restrictions, or account-wide suspension or termination.

To report a safety concern, contact connect@panosia.com or use the reporting option from the relevant profile or message. If you believe an enforcement action was taken on your account, listing, review, or booking record in error, see the Appeals section of our Terms of Service.

Services Marketplace Safety

  • Verified on both sides: Only members with an approved ID verification can offer a service or request a booking. ID verification confirms who someone is, not the quality of their service, so read reviews and ask questions before you book.
  • Products and food: ID verification confirms who someone is. It does not confirm food safety, halal status, ingredients or product quality. If you have an allergy or a dietary requirement, ask the seller directly before you order.
  • Services at your home: Tell someone who is coming and when, arrange for another adult to be present, and do not leave a child alone with someone you have not checked yourself. ID verification does not include a criminal background check or a reference check.
  • Pickups and deliveries: Meet in a public or well-lit place where you can, tell someone you trust where you are going, and do not hand over or collect anything you are not comfortable with. If someone makes you feel unsafe, leave and report the booking.
  • Address shared only when confirmed: A provider's exact meeting address is shown only to the seeker, and only once a booking is confirmed.
  • Report a listing or booking: A listing may be live before our team has reviewed it, for example a private listing shared by link. Use the report option on a listing or booking, and report anything that looks misleading, unsafe or fraudulent. While a booking is under review, actions on it (such as cancelling or rescheduling) are paused for both people until our team finishes. The other person can send us their side at connect@panosia.com. We may not share the details or outcome of a report.
  • Orders that go wrong: If an order does not arrive or is not as described, contact the seller first. If you cannot resolve it, or you think a listing is misleading or fraudulent, report the booking and our team will review it.
  • Links on a listing: They go to sites we do not control. Never enter card or bank details on a site you reached from a listing, and report any link that asks you to pay outside a confirmed booking.
  • Reliability record: A provider's public record shows their cancellations and no-shows over the last year. Either person can record a no-show after the booking time. If you believe one was recorded wrongly, report the booking; if our team agrees after reviewing it, we remove it from the provider's record and let the provider know. A provider can also ask the seeker directly to agree to cancel a confirmed booking; if the seeker agrees, it's excluded from the provider's record as a mutual cancellation, without our team reviewing it.
  • Booking notes and agreements: Each person on a booking can keep a note that the other person can read. Do not put anything in a note you are not comfortable sharing with the other person, and never put payment card or bank details in one. Text added to a booking's history is permanent and visible to both people. Notes and history are visible to our team for safety reviews, and we are not a party to anything you record there. If something written there is abusive or untrue, report the booking.
  • Reviews: Only the seeker on a completed booking can leave a review, once per booking. We may remove a review that breaks our Community Guidelines; we do not change a review's rating or words at a provider's request. The person who wrote a review can change or withdraw it at any time.
  • Peer feedback: After a completed booking, a provider can privately say whether they would work with the seeker again, or skip the question, and either person can write a short recommendation about the other. A provider cannot read the seeker's review until they have answered or skipped, or the time to do so has ended. Recommendations are shown only if the person written about approves them, and the form refuses links, phone numbers and email addresses (this automatic check is not complete, so please report anything that gets through). They are opinions we do not verify, are kept separate from star reviews, and we do not use them to restrict an account. A seeker chooses whether providers can see their summary on new requests. Our team can read recommendations on a booking and remove one that breaks our Community Guidelines, recording the reason; a removal can be appealed as described in our Terms of Service. If a recommendation is abusive or untrue, report the booking. See our Privacy Policy for what is stored and for how long.
  • "Listed by Panosia" listings: These are created by our team from information a business has made public, are for information only, and cannot be booked. Check details with the business directly.
  • Payments: Payment for a service is arranged directly with the provider, outside Panosia Connect. A provider confirming a booking is not a guarantee, and we cannot recover money paid outside the platform. Where you can, pay on pickup or delivery, or by a method with buyer protection. Be wary of cash, gift cards, crypto or instant transfers to someone you have not met. Panosia does not hold, guarantee or refund payments.

Family & Trusted-Connector Involvement

Marriage decisions in many of the communities we serve involve parents and trusted relatives, not just the two individuals. Panosia Connect supports this directly:

  • Managed Profiles: A parent or guardian can create and manage a profile on behalf of a family member, with appropriate disclosure. The candidate themselves must be at least 18 years old — age eligibility applies to the person being represented, not only the account holder. The guardian controls that profile's photo visibility, including generating a private link to share the blurred or original photo with a specific recipient of their choosing — see our Privacy Policy for details.
  • Community Matchmakers: Family, friends, and trusted volunteers can help make introductions through the network sharing and connections tree tools, with no commercial gain.
  • Peer Vouching: Members of your network can provide character validation, adding another layer of trust beyond identity verification alone.

Privacy Protections

Every profile field has its own visibility setting — public, privately shared, or hidden — controlled by the member. Profile data is served only through privacy-aware, server-side access checks, and verification documents are processed by our identity vendor and never stored on our servers. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Child Safety

Panosia Connect has a zero-tolerance policy for any content involving the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors (CSEA/CSAM). Any such content identified through user reports or moderation review is removed immediately, the account is permanently terminated, and the material is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement. If you encounter any such content, report it immediately to connect@panosia.com with subject line “CSEA Report.”
