Purpose of This Platform
Panosia Connect is a trust-first community. It helps individuals and families find a serious, lifelong marriage partner. It also has a Services Marketplace, where members find services and products for weddings, marriage and family life. Every feature — profile sharing, community matchmaking, biodata PDFs, peer vouching, service listings — supports one of these two purposes.
These guidelines describe the standards of behaviour we expect from all members. They sit alongside our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, which contain the full list of prohibited activities and enforcement consequences. Violating these guidelines may result in account suspension or permanent termination.
Core Principles
Be Honest
- Your profile must represent you truthfully — real name, current photos, accurate background.
- Be transparent about your marriage expectations, family requirements, and any relevant personal circumstances.
- If you act as a community matchmaker, represent both parties accurately when making introductions.
Be Respectful
- Treat every member with courtesy, regardless of their background, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or family situation.
- Respect that different communities have different traditions around family involvement, communication styles, and timelines for decision-making.
- Accept a "no" gracefully. Rejection is part of any search; do not respond with pressure, repeated contact, or hostility.
Respect Privacy
- Honour every member's field-level privacy settings. Do not attempt to access information they have chosen not to share with you.
- Do not share another member's private information — photos, contact details, family details — outside of the trusted networks they intended.
- Before sharing a profile externally (via WhatsApp, email, or social media), confirm the member has enabled network sharing.
Act in Good Faith
- Use the platform only for its two purposes: serious marriage introductions, and offering or booking services or products through the Services Marketplace. Do not use it for dating, casual contact, any other business activity, or anything else.
- Community matchmakers must participate as a community service, not for financial gain.
- Peer vouching should only be provided for people you know personally and can genuinely vouch for.
Marriage Candidates
- Complete and current profile: Provide enough information for families and matchmakers to assess compatibility. Photos should be genuine and recent (within the last 2 years).
- Clear intentions: Be upfront about your expectations — preferred background, family involvement, timeline, dealbreakers. Vague profiles lead to wasted time for everyone.
- Responsive: Respond to genuine access requests and introductions in a reasonable time, even if the answer is a polite decline.
- Keep your profile updated: If your circumstances change (you become engaged, relocate, or are no longer seeking), update your candidate status or deactivate your profile.
Community Matchmakers
Anyone — single or married — can volunteer as a community matchmaker. Matchmakers play a vital role; with that role comes responsibility:
- Genuine intent: Make introductions because you believe they have real potential, not to fulfil a quota or please someone without honest assessment.
- Honest representation: Describe both parties accurately to each other. Do not oversell either side.
- No commercial gain: You must not charge fees, request gifts, or receive payment of any kind for making introductions on this platform.
- Confidentiality: Handle personal details you encounter in your matchmaking role with discretion. Do not share a member's information beyond what is needed for the introduction.
- Respect outcomes: If an introduction does not proceed, accept that gracefully and maintain respectful relationships with both parties.
Profile Sharing & Biodata
- Only share profiles externally if the member has enabled network sharing. Never share hidden or privately-shared fields.
- When sharing via WhatsApp, email, or social media, always provide context about who you are and your relationship to the candidate.
- Biodata PDFs contain sensitive personal information. Share them only with serious prospects and their immediate families — not as general circulation material.
- Once shared outside the platform, content cannot be retrieved. Use good judgment about what to share and with whom.
Zero-Tolerance Behaviour
The following result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement. See our Acceptable Use Policy for the full list:
- Any content involving the sexual exploitation of minors (CSEA/CSAM)
- Sexual violence, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content promoting sexual violence
- Human trafficking, sex trafficking, or luring members under false pretences
- Romance scams or any attempt to defraud members financially
- Escort services, sex work, or soliciting transactional sexual relationships
- Identity fraud or impersonation
Safety Tips
- Share personal details gradually as trust develops over time — do not give out your phone number, address, or financial information to someone you have just connected with.
- Meet in public for any initial in-person meeting, and tell a family member or friend where you are going.
- Prioritise verified members — verification adds a layer of confidence, though it does not replace your own judgment.
- Never send money to a match or someone you are getting to know, regardless of how compelling the story. Financial requests are a red flag for fraud. The only exception is paying a provider for a service you have booked through our Services marketplace — and even then, a provider confirming a booking is not a guarantee, so pay on pickup or delivery or by a method with buyer protection where you can.
- Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, report the profile or message from the report option, or email connect@panosia.com.
Services & Reviews
If you offer or book a service through our Services marketplace:
- Describe your service honestly. Keep photos, items, prices and availability accurate and up to date. Photos must show your real work or products, or be clearly marked as illustrative.
- Honour what you agree to. Show up for confirmed bookings, and cancel within the stated window when you can. Cancellations and no-shows by a provider appear on their public record.
- Treat every customer fairly. Do not refuse a request or offer different terms because of a protected characteristic where the law prohibits it. A genuine religious or cultural character of your service, such as halal food or women-only styling, is fine if you apply it honestly.
- Use a buyer's details only for their order. If a buyer gives you an address or other personal details, use them only to fulfil that order. Do not share them or use them to market to the buyer.
- Record no-shows truthfully. Recording a no-show that did not happen is a breach of these guidelines.
- Review your own experience only. Reviews must describe a booking you completed yourself. No fake reviews, reviews traded for discounts or favours, personal attacks, or private details about the other person. We may remove a review that breaks these rules.
- Keep recommendations positive and honest. A recommendation is an optional note about a completed booking. Keep it truthful and about that booking; do not offer or ask for anything in return, and leave out personal details, links, phone numbers and email addresses. The person written about decides whether it is shown. We may remove a recommendation that breaks these rules.
- Answer "Would you work with them again?" honestly. Providers should skip rather than answer untruthfully, and should never use the question to pressure or retaliate against a seeker.
Reporting & Enforcement
Report inappropriate behaviour, suspicious profiles, or safety concerns — such as a suspected fake profile, scam attempt, harassment, or a concern about someone's age — by using the in-platform reporting tool on the relevant profile, or by emailing connect@panosia.com.
All reports are reviewed confidentially. Depending on the severity, actions range from a warning to immediate permanent termination. We cooperate with law enforcement for serious violations. For concerns that cannot wait, mark your email subject “Urgent Safety Report.”
Updates to These Guidelines
We may update these guidelines as the community grows. Material changes will be communicated by email and by a notice on the platform when you next log in.
