Question 1

What is Panosia Connect?

Accepted Answer

Panosia Connect is a trust-first, community-powered platform built around marriage and family life. At its heart is matrimony for people seeking serious, lifelong partnerships with family involvement. It's not a dating app. It also has a Services marketplace for weddings and family life, where members of the community offer venues, catering, counseling and more. Everything is built around family participation and verified identities.

Question 2

Is Panosia Connect free to use?

Accepted Answer

Core features are free: creating a profile, browsing candidates, saving shortlists, sharing biodata PDFs, privacy controls, and the family network. Browsing services, sending booking requests and listing your own service are free too. Verification services (ID and background checks via our partner Didit) are paid add-ons for families who need additional trust assurance, for example for long-distance or international matches. See our Pricing page for current rates.

Question 3

How is this different from other matrimony sites?

Accepted Answer

Everyone you talk to has verified their ID, and you choose who sees each detail of your profile. Your family and friends can join to help you search, share profiles and vouch for you as references. It is free: no subscription, and you pay only for optional verification. The same community also offers wedding and family services.

Question 4

I'm already married. Why should I open an account?

Accepted Answer

You don't need to be looking for a match yourself. As a verified Connector, you can browse candidates, share profiles with people you know, vouch as a reference for someone you trust, and even create and manage a full profile for a family member who isn't on the platform yet. Many married parents, siblings, and relatives join specifically to help others find their match. You can also come for the services: find a venue, caterer or counselor for the family, or list a service of your own.

Question 5

Is there a mobile app?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Panosia Connect is available on Google Play as a Progressive Web App (PWA). You can also install it directly from your browser by tapping 'Add to Home Screen' on any device — no app store required for that method. The experience is fully mobile-optimized.

Question 6

How do privacy settings work?

Accepted Answer

Every profile field has three visibility levels: Public (visible to everyone), Privately Shared (visible only to approved connections), and Hidden (visible only to you). You can set this individually for each piece of information — so for example your phone number can be hidden while your education is public.

Question 7

Can I control who sees my photos?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Profile photo, cover photo, and gallery images each have independent visibility controls. You can make your profile photo public while keeping gallery photos privately shared or hidden entirely.

Question 8

How do I report suspicious or abusive behavior?

Accepted Answer

Use the report button on any profile, or email connect@panosia.com. We take safety seriously — accounts reported for fraud, fake profiles, or prohibited behavior are reviewed and removed. See our Safety & Trust page for full guidance.

Question 9

Is my personal data secure?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We use enterprise-grade encryption for data at rest and in transit. We do not sell your data to third parties. Identity verification is handled by Didit — we never store biometric data ourselves. You can request deletion of your data at any time via Settings > Account > Delete Account.

Question 10

Can I temporarily hide my profile from discovery?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Turn on "Hide from Discover" in Settings. Your profile disappears from Discover search and browse results right away, and all your data is preserved. Anyone with your direct profile link can still view it, based on your privacy settings. You can turn it off again at any time.

Question 11

What is candidate mode?

Accepted Answer

Candidate mode means you're looking for a marriage partner for yourself, so your profile is marked as a candidate in Discover and in candidate filters. If you're using the platform as a Connector helping someone else, or for services, leave it off. Every member who finishes setup can appear in Discover, whatever their role, and you can hide your profile with "Hide from Discover" in Settings.

Question 12

How do I update my profile?

Accepted Answer

Go to My Profile and click the edit icon on any section. Changes are saved when you submit the form. After verification, certain fields (name, date of birth, gender) become locked to protect the integrity of your verified identity.

Question 13

Why are some fields locked after verification?

Accepted Answer

Once verified, critical identity fields are locked to maintain trust with families reviewing your profile. If a legitimate correction is needed, contact support at connect@panosia.com.

Question 14

What filters are available for searching?

Accepted Answer

You can filter by gender, age, marital status, religion, ethnicity, location (country, state, city), verification status, and whether someone is a candidate. Filters are applied server-side for accurate, fast results.

Question 15

How do I know if a profile is verified?

Accepted Answer

Verified profiles display a blue verification badge next to the person's name. This means they've completed professional identity verification through our partner Didit, confirming the profile is authentic.

Question 16

How can my family actively help in my search?

Accepted Answer

Family members (parents, siblings, relatives) can sign up with their own accounts and connect to your profile as matchmakers. They can search the platform, save shortlists, generate biodata PDFs to share in WhatsApp groups, and send introductions — exactly as traditional matchmaking works, but online.

Question 17

How do I share a profile with family members who aren't on the platform?

Accepted Answer

Generate a biodata PDF from any profile you have access to and share it via WhatsApp, email, or print it. The PDF formats the profile information cleanly for offline family review — ideal for parents who prefer to discuss matches in person.

Question 18

Can religious or community leaders use the platform as matchmakers?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Imams, priests, pandits, and community elders are welcome to create matchmaker profiles and help their communities find compatible matches — continuing the tradition of community-based matchmaking.

Question 19

What can matchmaker accounts see on a candidate's profile?

Accepted Answer

Matchmakers see exactly what the candidate's privacy settings allow. The candidate fully controls what's visible. If a matchmaker needs access to privately shared information to help with a specific match, the candidate can grant that through the connection system.

Question 20

Does the platform support arranged, semi-arranged, and interfaith matches?

Accepted Answer

Yes, to all three. The platform is built for family-involved marriage searches across all traditions. Interfaith couples who have family support are welcome. You can filter by religion and ethnicity to find matches within your tradition, or broaden your search as preferred.

Question 21

Is verification mandatory?

Accepted Answer

No. You can create a profile, browse candidates and save a shortlist without it. To chat, request someone's full profile or book a service, you need a verified ID, so everyone you chat with has passed ID verification. ID verification takes a few minutes from your phone.

Question 22

What does the verification process involve?

Accepted Answer

Verification is handled by our partner Didit. The process typically involves submitting a government-issued ID (passport, driver's license, or national ID) and completing a brief identity check. We never store your biometric data — that stays with Didit under their privacy and security protocols.

Question 23

How long does verification take?

Accepted Answer

The ID check itself takes a few minutes on your phone. Our team then reviews the result before your badge appears, which is usually within a day or two. A background check also includes a video call with a verifier and a review of your documents, and typically takes 3–7 business days.

Question 24

How much does verification cost?

Accepted Answer

Verification pricing is managed dynamically. Visit our Pricing page for current rates. All core matrimony features (profile, search, family network, biodata PDFs) remain free regardless of verification status.

Question 25

Does verification expire?

Accepted Answer

No. Once verified, your badge remains active as long as your account is active and your identity information is unchanged. If you make major changes to verified identity fields, re-verification may be required.

Question 26

How do I initiate contact with someone I'm interested in?

Accepted Answer

Send a private access request with a personalized message. If they approve it, you'll gain access to their privately shared fields and can continue the conversation. Direct messaging is available to verified users once a connection is established.

Question 27

What should I write in my access request?

Accepted Answer

Be genuine and specific. Mention what caught your attention about their profile, introduce yourself briefly (or your family), and be respectful. Families respond better to thoughtful, personal messages than to generic copy-paste requests.

Question 28

Can my parents send requests on my behalf?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If a parent or relative has a matchmaker account, they can send requests from their profile. Alternatively, you can coordinate with them to review profiles together and send requests from your own account after a joint decision.

Question 29

What happens if my request is declined?

Accepted Answer

The request closes quietly — there's no notification to other users and no penalty to your account. It simply means the timing or match wasn't right. Continue your search and send requests to other compatible profiles.

Question 30

How long should I wait for a response?

Accepted Answer

Response times vary widely — some users check daily, others weekly. It's reasonable to send requests to multiple compatible profiles simultaneously rather than waiting on a single one.

Question 31

How do I reset my password?

Accepted Answer

Click 'Forgot Password' on the login page, enter your email address, and you'll receive a reset link. Check your spam or junk folder if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes.

Question 32

Can I change my email address?

Accepted Answer

Email addresses are tied to your account authentication and cannot be changed for security reasons. If you have a genuine need to switch emails, contact support at connect@panosia.com to discuss your options.

Question 33

How do I permanently delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and removes all profile data. If you're considering deletion because you're temporarily inactive, deactivating candidate mode is a less drastic alternative that preserves your information.

Question 34

Why can't I upload photos?

Accepted Answer

Ensure your photos are JPG, PNG, or WebP format and under 5 MB each. If uploads still fail, try clearing your browser cache, switching to a different browser, or using a stable internet connection. Contact support if the issue persists.

Question 35

Which browsers are supported?

Accepted Answer

All modern browsers are supported: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. For the best experience, use an up-to-date version of your preferred browser. If something looks broken, a browser update often resolves it.

Question 36

Who offers services on Panosia Connect?

Accepted Answer

Members of our community. A provider must verify their ID before a listing they create goes live. To help while businesses join, our team may also add information-only listings marked "Listed by Panosia"; these cannot be booked. Listings show reviews and recommendations from other members once they exist.

Question 37

Do I need an account to book a service?

Accepted Answer

Anyone can browse services. To send a booking request, you need a free account with a verified ID, so providers know who they are talking to.

Question 38

How do I pay for a service?

Accepted Answer

Right now, you pay the provider directly, outside Panosia Connect. We do not process or hold these payments. Each listing shows the provider's cancellation window. We will update this page, our Terms and our Refund Policy before online payment is offered.

Question 39

Is it free to list my service?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Listing a service is free. In the future we may offer optional paid business tools to selected providers.

Question 40

What if something goes wrong with a booking?

Accepted Answer

You can report a listing or a booking from its page, and our team will review it. Cancellations follow the policy shown on each listing.

Question 41

How do I list my service?

Accepted Answer

Create a free account and choose "I offer a service" when we ask what you are looking for. Then open My Service Offers and create a listing: say what you offer, add photos, add the items people can book with their prices, set how requests work and your open hours. Your work saves as a draft while you build it, and then publish it with your ID verified. Our team reviews every new public listing before it appears in Discover and search, and we will tell you the decision. You can also list it privately, so only people with your link can see it.

Question 42

How does a booking request work?

Accepted Answer

Open a listing, choose online or in person, pick a date and time, and send a short message with your request. Sending a request is free. The provider confirms before anything is booked and has a deadline to reply, which you see after you send it. We notify you either way. To message the provider you need a verified ID.

Question 43

How do I find services near me?

Accepted Answer

Open Discover and choose Services, or use Browse Services on the homepage. Search by keyword, pick a category, or set your city. Signed-in members start near the city on their profile. If nobody is listed in person near you yet, we show providers who work online.

Question 44

What can I list: services, products or both?

Accepted Answer

Both. List a service, like catering, photography or counseling, with the items people can book and their prices. Or list products: families add them to a cart and choose pickup or delivery. A product can also be digital, sent as a file or link in chat.

Question 45

How do I show my menu, packages or prices?

Accepted Answer

Add each item with its own price and unit, like per plate, per tray, per hour or per person. Group items into sections such as Mains, Packages or Add-ons, and add a photo to any item.

Question 46

Can I choose when people can book me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Set your days and hours, add days off, and choose how far ahead people can book (from 1 day to 2 years) and how much notice you need (up to 90 days). You also choose how many bookings you take at the same time, so you are never double-booked.

Question 47

What if I can't price a job up front?

Accepted Answer

Turn on quotes. Your prices show as estimates, and you send the final price after reading the request. The family can accept or reply with a different price.

Question 48

How will I hear about a new request, and how long do I have to reply?

Accepted Answer

We email you and show it in your notifications. Each request comes with the answers to your own questions, like the number of guests or the type of event. You choose your reply time, from 12 hours to 7 days; if you don't reply in time, the request closes.

Question 49

Can I offer my service online?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Offer sessions online, in person, or both. Online listings can be found by families anywhere. Each online session gets a page with a join window and a timer; for now, share your own call link in the booking chat.

Question 50

Is my address public?

Accepted Answer

No. You can keep your address private. It is shared only with the family after you accept their booking.

Question 51

Do you check my licence or qualifications?

Accepted Answer

No. We verify your identity, not licences, qualifications or claims like halal, vegetarian or allergens. For services that usually need a licence, your listing says we don't check them.

Question 52

How do I get paid?

Accepted Answer

Families pay you directly, the way you already work. Panosia Connect does not process or hold these payments. In-app payments are coming later.

Question 53

How do reviews work?

Accepted Answer

Families can review you only after a finished booking, and say if they would book you again. Your rating and finished bookings show on your listing.
